Off Pronounced Leh-nerd Skin-nerd (1973).

Train roll on, on down the line,
Won’t you please take me far, far away.
Now I feel the wind blow, outside my door,
I’m leavin’ my woman at home, oh yeah.
Tuesday’s gone with the wind,
My baby’s gone, gone with the wind.
And I don’t know, oh, where I’m goin’.
I just want to be left alone.
When this train ends, I’ll try again.
I’m leavin’ my woman at home.
My baby’s gone

Tuesday’s gone with the wind.
Tuesday’s gone with the wind.
Tuesday’s gone with the wind.
My baby’s gone, with the wind.
Train roll on
Tuesday’s gone with the wind.
Tuesday’s gone with the wind.
Tuesday’s gone with the wind.
My baby’s gone, with the wind.

Train roll on
Train roll on many miles from my home, see I’m,
I’m ridin’ my blues, babe, blues away, yeah.
But Tuesday you see, a she had to be free.
Somehow I got to, to carry on.
My baby’s gone.

Tuesday’s gone with the wind.
Tuesday’s gone with the wind.
Tuesday’s gone with the wind.
My baby’s gone, with the wind.

Train roll on…train roll on…
Roll on train…roll on train…roll on train
Train roll on…the train, it rolls on
Train rolls on I can’t change, I can’t change,
I can’t change, I can’t change,I can’t change…
Ride on train
I can’t change
Train roll on
Lord, I can’t change
I can’t change

fred garvin says:

I used to think it was a kind of cliche, “oh, the bands and music of ‘my
time’ were the best”! Us old folks who grew up in this era, we knew we
would still be listening to it when we were in our 50’s, 60’s etc. But it
always surprises me today when I see a young kid listening and really
loving the old music, because this music is gold. we didn’t really realize
it then since there was so much of it, everywhere. all the time. pink
floyd, led zepplin, the stones, lynrd skynrd, on and on and on and on. It
has lasted and it will last, the golden era of rock for me anyway, was from
the mid 60’s to the late 70’s. I thought well that’s just because that’s
when I grew up, but no, it has lasted and is still on the radio today,
every day being listened to by a whole new generation. say that about lady
gaga or katy perry in 20 years. what amazes me still today is how MANY
great songs just this one group has, all great songs. songs with soul and
feeling, yet they ROCK!

Crystal Johnson says:

This band will live on for ever!
