“People can you feel it love is everywhere”…. Sad thing I don’t feel the
love anymore (from the people) but I sure as hell feel the beautiful music
from The Allman Brothers Band. Timeless classics like these songs will
always be cherished in my soul.

T.J. Szabo says:

I Loved this band more than any I can remember. I saw them in concert so
many times I can’t count. One of the best Shows was in ’73, in Upstate New
York, Watkins Glen to be exact. I just got back from ‘Nam and a buddy I met
there called to ask if I would want to see the Allmans, knowing how much I
liked them, and he tells me there are only 3 Groups playing for the Weekend
Outdoor Concert, they were; The Band, The Dead and the Allman Brothers. The
BEST Concert I have ever seen. The crowd was estimated to be more than
900,000, three times bigger than Woodstock. Two parachutists died in
seperate accidents over the show but otherwise we ALL got along Just
Fine!!! And if anyone thinks that I wasn’t there I have the local Sunday
Newspaper that I picked up on the way home and its one of my prized
possessions. By the way, I read in that very paper the estimated crowd size
and a little article that stated that for that weekend we were the Tenth
Largest city in America!

Evil Scooter Kitty says:

Davie Jones says:

Way too many parties to count! Juwana, PCP,Acid,Cocaine,Meth,Little
Kings,White cross and then I got bored doing drugs and quit doing
everything except getting screwed by the man over and over every damn day
since! Now I remember why I did drugs! To forget the man! I need an
aspirin! Rock on! Democrats and Republicans suck together! One is sucking
this way and the other the other way! Anyone got a joint?

William Latvala says:

These guys are right at the top of the heap, along with The Beatles who in
’67 shanged everything as we knew it. Gregg and Co. will go down in the
history books right along side of groups like that and Zeppelin and all the
serious rockers of our time. “Wild Bill”.

Jeff Underhill says:

Just lost my dad today, and he was a crazy huge fan of the Allman Brothers.
So I’m just blaring this in my room. Thanks for having this up.

Sharon Powell King says:

MACON, Ga. — It’s been 45 years since a Macon nightclub sold $1 tickets for
music fans to hear a new band under local management known as the Allman
Brothers Band. Decades later, fans have commemorated the legendary Southern
rockers’ arrival in Macon with a plaque outside the Library Ballroom that
marks the May 2, 1969, concert as the Allman Brothers’ first paid gig. The
Macon Telegraph reports (http://bit.ly/RkwaWz ) the Georgia Allman Brothers
Band Association, a group of die-hard fans, unveiled the plaque at a
reception party Sunday. The group’s president, Dave Pierson, says the
band’s Macon debut came shortly after it relocated from Jacksonville, Fla.
The Allmans moved to Macon to be close to their manager, Phil Walden, and
his record label, Capricorn Records.
