3 Legends Live At Carnegie Hall – Dec 5,1985

by | Jun 7, 2020 | Blog, Blues

December 5, 1985 a very special night of blues took place in the vernerable Carnegie Hall venue in New York City. Blues guitar masters Lonnie Mack, Allbert Collins and Roy Buchanan did a show together in the hall that is generally know for its classical music performances.

Thankfully, it was caught on video for posterity’s sake. And even though it is no longer available, we do thankfully have some one that put it up on Youtube. Enjoy this Master Class in blues guitar.

All 3 of these Blues icons had been around at this point for quite awhile entertaining audiences around the world. Unfortunately, all 3 have left us at this point and we certainly feel a giant hole as a result of their absence.

Lonnie Mack passed away most recently of natural causes in 2016. Albert Collins died from cancer in Nov 1993. Roy Buchanan was found hanged in a jail cell in Aug of 1988.

Of course you can still find these artists music and albums for purchase online.Â
