This is the first in my series of posts featuring videos about the Lynyrd Skynyrd plane crash. It’s a more recent one, posted March 15, 2022 by The Appalachian Son.
The Appalachian Son is a musician and former cremationist. We’re here because of a shared interest in the curiosities of music history. – Youtube Page
His Youtube Channel features videos about bizarre events, ie – people’s deaths. He classifies these particular types of videos under the title, “Cause Of Death”, of which this video is one.
He’s also apparently a guitar picker. So he has some musical knowledge and experience. From watching his video, he appears to be fairly young, (But hell, everybody looks young to me.)
I always find it interesting when people take the time to research and learn about something that happened before they were born. I’m betting that Mr Appalachian Son wasn’t even born yet when Skynyrd’s plane crashed in October of 1977.

You can also take a look at The Appalachain Son’s Instagram account. It features mostly shorts, but their not short on weirdness and “Hillbilly Gothic.”
According to the information in the video, Appalachian Son lives in Greenville, SC not far from where the Greenville Memorial Auditorium stood. As well as being to close to the airport that was the original band’s final departure.
He has done his homework and has some interesting viewpoints and opinions. It is worth the time to watch the entire video.
