Vulfpeck – Live At Ancienne Belgique
Vulfpeck is a group of young guys that all attended the University of Michigan School of Music. They play mostly original tunes that are rhythmically funky, very precise and always a bunch of fun. I stumbled across one of there videos a couple months ago, and I was hooked.
Most of the members of Vulfpeck are multi-instrumentalists and they are all great players. They’ve built up a pretty big following, especially over the last two or three years. They have some summer 2019 dates, and the Red Rocks show is already sold out. The bass player, Joe Dart, always steals the show. You’ll see why when you watch the video.
This is from a show in Belgium at the Ancienne Belgique, a very popular concert venue in the historic part of Brussels.
This is one of the first video’s I had seen of Vulfpeck and I knew I wanted to add it on the website. I initially wanted to entitle it “The Joy Of Music.” Because it’s not often that you see cats on stage playing music and you can see and feel that they all just love the joy of music. That kind of authenticity, and excellent musicianship, just grabs you and makes you feel it too. That’s what music is truly all about. And on top of all that, they’re pretty damn good at marketing. Look up their album “Sleepify” on Wikipedia and read about. It’s pretty creative.
Be sure to visit Vulfpeck’s website, and find them on social media: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube.
