When I saw this commercial I thought the music sounded like it was from some late 90’s band and I couldn’t quite place it. And it turns out, that’s quite a testament to the song itself. And the artist who created it.

The fact that this song still sounds so current and… fresh, for lack of a better word, is pretty amazing. It doesn’t happen very often.

It’s not from the 90’s, it was released in 1973 written by Ronnie Lane and Ronnie Wood. It was recorded by the band, Faces. For those of us that remember Faces from when they were actually together and playing this brings back great memories. They were a pretty awesome band with more than one member that went on to major careers in the rock and roll world.

Do yourself a favor and check out some of the live clips on Youtube. And take the time to watch the documentary “The Passing Show: The Life and Music of Ronnie Lane.” It’s well worth the time.
